I was always captivated by the beauty of the furniture, lighting, and music in my father's restaurant in Japan. The way the space elevated people's happiness deeply impressed me and sparked my interest in branding and interior design.
I pursued this interest at Musashino Art University, apprenticing under the renowned interior designer Masamichi Katayama. He taught me that interior design is just one aspect of crafting an environment, emphasizing the need to grasp the brand’s essence, themes, and the contemporary market to create a holistic design.
Influenced by my father and Mr. Katayama, I founded a culinary magazine brand called MCNAI, which allowed me to gain real-world design experience in branding, pop-up space design, and creative direction.
Interior design is more than just designing spaces. It involves an in-depth research of the client and integrating all elements of culture, including fashion and music, into a comprehensive design, which is my forte.
